A true native son, Jon grew up just around the corner in Lilburn, GA. He started learning to cook from childhood, using local ingredients. Whether it was corn and peas from a family farm or vegetables from his own garden, respect for the freshest possible ingredients has always been the most important part of Jon’s menu.
Chef Jon’s experience has seen him from working roadside BBQ at the age of 17, a stint doing Pastry with Marriot hotels to the position of Chef de Cuisine for Kevin Rathbun’s Krog Bar. Along the way he has managed to work in every capacity of food service – food sales and delivery, restaurant management, Baking and Pastry, and Liquor sales. He is also a Certified Specialist of Wine through the Society of Wine Educators.
Chef Jon is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of the inaugural class of Le Cordon Bleu, Atlanta.
Jon is still a local, living in the Smoke Rise area of Tucker with his wife, Lauren and their daughter Emma.
